Selected Tapestries (and other things) 2020
In which used coffee filter yarn
takes over everything,
is nudged to the side
by truckloads of foraged fiber
(willow, dogbane, nettle and mostly milkweed)
all of which is finger twisted into miles of beautiful bast
which led to
a short-lived looped and felted vessel obsession
with the resulting sore thumbs,
the "fixing" of which gave me a moment to revel
briefly in the glories of a backstrap blanket,
before the paper reasserted itself
with a deep dive into woven words
(winter nouns that spill over into 2021)
